I just so love DIY, and I guess that’s pretty much the case with most preppers isn’t it? By our very nature we tend to be practical people who understand the fact that we can’t rely on others for our survival and well being and that we have to be able to depend on ourselves.

And let’s not lose sight of the fact that actually using an item or tool that you’ve made with your own two hands is incredibly satisfying – way more so than using something you simply purchased from a shop. I can still vividly remember when I was a small child making my own fishing pole and actually catching a fish with it – the excitement was intense!

So that’s why I’m always looking at videos and articles on how to make simple and useful stuff. Things like this totally awesome machete. Is it a tool? Is it a Weapon? It’s both – and I’m going to have one!
