When the SHTF scenario goes down, we all know that one vital aspect that needs to be included in our survival plans is our weapons. At some point we might have to take down someone who’s trying to attack us or (hopefully) more likely we’re going to require weapons for hunting.

But firearms are noisy, which can hinder our hunting efforts, and supplies of ammunition may not last forever. An alternative weapon is always a good idea. One that you can make yourself is even better, and the oldest and easiest of these must be the simple longbow. It’s a weapon that is as old as humanity and in trained hands is utterly deadly.
