We prep, we plan, we purchase and store all the equipment and supplies we thing we’re going to require to survive the coming SHTF disaster. And that’s great, we totally should be doing all of those things.

But sometimes though, that might not be enough. We can’t after all take those stores and supplies with us wherever we go can we? We still have to lead our current lives, and that means it’s quite possible we’re going to be away from those resources when the disaster happens – maybe for just a few hours, or maybe days or weeks. You get the point though, it’s quite possible that we’re going to be stuck and have to improvise the food and equipment we need to survive, at least short term.

The number one survival resource of all is water. Without it we die very quickly. So we need a supply of clean and potable water and we need to be able to carry some around with us in a water bottle of some sort.
