When we prepare all of our SHTF plans, we always need to keep in mind the fact that injuries and wounds are going to be a fact of life. The current norms of civilization won’t apply and life is going to be a lot harder and tougher.

Allied to that of course is the fact that the medical services we’ve come to rely on simply will not be available to help fix us up – we really will be on our own in that regard.

So, we all need to ensure that we have at least some basic (and preferably more) medical knowledge. We need to know how to clean up a wound and put some stitches in if needed, maybe even how to set a basic bone fracture.
