There’s a couple of things that you learn very quickly when you start out on the prepping pathway:

There’s lot’s of really good information around on the net (plus an awful lot of crap as well), and you really need to spend some regular quality time going through it and sifting out the useful stuff

There’s an almost infinite way that we can make use of the natural resources all around us in order to help us survive.

It was because of the first thing that I came across another example of the second thing, and this one seemed at first to be so strange that it really had me scratching my head at first, and asking myself – is this total crap, or is it for real?

I eventually decided on the latter answer, so that’s why I’m sharing it here.

It details different ways that we can make use of tree bark as a survival material. There’s many uses for timber of course, from buring it to keep wark, to making tools. But this is the first time I’ve heard about using the actual bark.
