Survival after a SHTF disaster scenario is going to be difficult at any time, but let’s face it, there’s one particular time of the year that’s going to be the worst, and that is of course in winter. The biting cold, rain and lack of daylight all combine to add a lot more problems for day-to-day survival.

In America, there are some places that really do get long, cold and very hard winters to be sure (no Floridians, I’m not talking about you!). But, there is one country in the world that’s always been famous (or infamous) for the severity of it’s winter season and that is Russia. The Russian winter destroyed the Napoleonic army in the 19th century and also Hitler’s in the 20th. The conditions that soldiers in both those armies had to face was beyond horrific.

So that’s why I thought I’d share this video with you about surviving a Russian winter, because if you can learn to do that then you can really survive any winter!
