In the early phase of dealing with a major SHTF scenario, it’s quite possible that you’re going to have to depend upon some sort of emergency shelter to keep you protected from the waether, until such time as a more permanent arrangement can be made.
Most likely, this shelter will be in the form of a tent. I’ve slept in a great many tents over the years, from a tiny one-person hiker one weighing a couple of pounds, to family sized monsters that take about three people to pitch and can sleep a dozen o more.
However, there’s one aspect that all of these share in common – they’re all damn uncomfortable to sleep in when it’s freezing cold outside!
