I’ve made a number of posts over the last year or so about knives of various sorts. There’s a very good reason for this, and that is that I’m totally certain that a good knife is the absolute number one survival tool. It’s possible to make do without most other items of equipment, but surviving after SHTF without a decent knife available? No!

Note that above I stated a “good knife”. Sure, you can pick up a cheap knife for a couple bucks, but it won’t last you very long (although even that is better than no knife at all), but a good knife requires a somewhat higher expenditure.
